Security
Many people are understandably concerned about transmitting confidential information over the web; for example credit card details or sensitive business information. However, by using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) any information can transmitted securely. This technique has a number of applications:
- Collecting credit card details for selling goods.
- Allowing paid-up subscribers access to "premium" areas of a web site.
- Allowing trusted suppliers, customers or administrators access to private areas of a web site.
Security
Firewall:
Modern businesses have to be security conscious. They need a route to the Internet for email or web access, but this provides an avenue for hackers to help themselves to your property and destroy your systems. Firewalls restrict unwanted files/people from accessing information on our systems providing a barrier to the outside world. We consider security to be a top priority keeping the data held on our system secure.
